General information about the F3A World Championship

The World Championship in the category F3A is held every two years. Wolfgang Matt belongs since 1967 to the top pilots of the world. Till 1999 he finished two times as World Champion, six times as 2nd and four times as 3rd. There is no other pilot worldwide who got such a great success and belongs since so many years to the top ten in the world. Due to this exceptional success other members of the MFGL was pushed to highest performance in this sport. Wieland Meier, Günther Marxer, Ludwig Matt Jun., Peter Kunkel and Nick Schädler could reach the middle field. The best result that Norbert Matt could achieve was the excellent 8th place in 1975. Roland Matt could finish in 1999 on the fantastic 5th place.

Liechtenstein could beat also as a team many big nations. In 1975 the team reached the 2nd place with Wolfgang Matt, Wieland Meier and Norbert Matt as pilots.
