The international F3A contest or so called IFF is based on an old MFGL tradition and is nowadays a fix event in the international F3A contest circuit. On one side the comfortable infrastructure and on the other side the perfect organisation is our trademark. Here you may find the report upon the last IFF.

43th international F3A contest IFF - 9th serial win for Roland Matt

The contest were held during the weekend on 5th and 6th July on our airfield in Bendern/Liechtenstein for the trophy of her Highness Princess Marie of Liechtenstein. 47 pilots from 14 different nations started for this trophy. Roland Matt could for 9th time successively win this contest and so defend his title from the year 2007, followed by Gerhard Mayr from Austria and Wolfgang Matt.

The conditions were quite good, except the wind was blowing irregularly. All 47 pilots flow two rounds 23 even the third round. Then the competition had to be stoped due to bad weather conditions.

Right at the beginning that Wolfgang, Roland and Gerhard Mayr were the favourites for the first place. In the first round Gerhard had a little bid better results and took the 1000 points on his account. The second round was the one from Roland and Wolfgang was for this moment even on the second place after Roland. The third round was the won by Roland, due to this result his father was pushed back on the third place and Gerhard finished second.

A quite nice surprise was the 7th place for the 16 year old rookie from Gamprin, Stefan Kaiser. Not so well trained, the 4th pilot from Liechtenstein, Nick Schädler had to accept the 32nd place this year.
